Last Wednesday, we asked our prayer team (Join by CLICKING HERE) to pray for timing. With so many things in transition right now, as we focus on one thing at a time, the plan will become apparent in God’s timing. Like we shared yesterday about the new ministry opportunities and jobs here in Lebanon, we are learning peace and patience in this quest for God’s Plan and God’s Timing.
For our prayer report today we want to share about God’s provision in timing already this year. For the first two years of being here, choosing a school for Davy was of concern and stress. Annie was uncomfortable putting him in school so young, and there were so many new pieces different from America. When we returned to Lebanon last November, God provided several people right in a row in conversations sitting next to Annie, which led her to look into the school CTI. This school is where Davy goes now for Kindergarten Year 1.
Davy was struggling with fine motor skills, as many boys his age do, because he loves to run and talk. But within this first semester he has gone from no more than scribbles to drawing self-portraits! He loves having friends, riding the bus, and his teachers are exactly the ones I would pick for him. Everything has come together so beautifully, so obviously Providentially, and as we try to put words to it, the words escape us! God is so amazing, and we can’t wait to see how He guides us beyond the surgery.
Annie has been able to tutor one of my two last high schoolers from my original group of 15, and that was in perfect timing. 9th Grade in Lebanon, the grade Ivan entered this year is the most important grade for tests, and if he does not pass this year it basically means he cannot continue in school here. Additionally, as we began planning this trip to America, disrupting this tutoring plan, Ivan’s family began preparations to leave the country. Yay!
All throughout the year, we have been adjusting little by little in life here and really are right in the middle of something new! This is the time to be in the Middle East, and more specifically in Lebanon. The harvest is ripe, and we are so excited to be a part of the workers. Thank you for sending us here!
God is doing some great things in our hearts, in Lebanon, in our families, and we are really excited to see what is coming!
